Presenter's Biography: Dr. Williams retired from the US Army after 24 years, as an Information Technology (IT) Officer. After retiring from the Army he started and operated an IT service business for three years before rejoining the Department of Defense (DOD) as a civilian. He left the DOD after 7 years as a civilian to operate a cybersecurity consulting business and serves as a college professor in Cyber Security at American Public University.

Dr. Williams has an undergraduate degree from Campbell University in North Carolina, along with a graduate and PhD degrees in Cyber Security from Capella University. Dr. Williams has focused intently on various aspects of cybersecurity to include; compliance, governance, and other related aspects of cybersecurity mitigation.

Dr. Williams has several certifications in Cyber Security and IT to include: Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) and the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)v3.
