Head, Information Systems Control
Fidelity Bank Plc, Nigeria
Cybersecurity Doctoral Student
I had chosen three universities to pursue my doctoral program in USA and discussed them with a brother and an associate professor at Kansas State University. After due review, he recommended the DIA program at the University of Fairfax. Below is an excerpt of his mail response to me.
“I like this opportunity. It is the best opportunity for your career advancement. The school has received accreditation and seems to be dedicated to cyber security. I would encourage you to pursue this opportunity.”
By God’s grace, my goal is to be recognized as the subject expert and scholar in Information Assurance as well as have the opportunity of making positive impacts in the decision making of industry security policies.
I chose the Doctorate in Information Assurance (DIA) program because having obtained a BSc Computer science, Master's in Information Technology, relevant certifications, and 17 years of work experience. [My] first eight years [of experience] was in core IT functions. Thereafter, I had a career shift to Information Systems Control. I have also had active/core participations in numerous Information Systems, Security, Risk and Control projects, seminars and workshops. Hence, I consider it fulfilling to crown my experience with a DIA from a renowned and subject expert university.
